“We have reason to believe he is still alive,” Rachel Goldberg told the group gathered to hear her family’s story. Rachel and Jon Polin’s son Hersh was one of the hostages taken on Oct 7. Her words seemed almost incomprehensible to me. How could this woman possibly think their son was alive after all this time?
